The contest, now in its second year, was held at the Hamjigol Youth Center of Yong do-gu in Pusan on July 1st, 2012. A feeling of gratitude to one’s parents which every child has expressed by nine young men, and their presentations touched the crowds’ hearts deeply. The contestants gratefully said that they were glad to be able to tell their feelings honestly to their parents through the contest.

The Reiyukai Foundation Fest 2012 was held at Reiyukai Thailand on July 15th, 2012. As part of this event, the members of Reiyukai Thailand engaged in volunteer activities in Bangkok, Sisaket, and Lamphun. The theme of this year festival is to enlighten the people who can contribute to society with the compassionate mind. In cooperation with the city of Phutta Monthon in Nakhon Pathom near Bangkok, the members soaked with perspiration under the extremely hot weather planted 600 herb seeds. Reiyukai Thailand received a Letter of Appreciation from the mayor of Phutta Monthon.

The year of 2012 first Letter to My Parents contest was held in Paranaque City in the City of Manila. The key of creating a harmonious family is to write a letter about your sincere feeling to your parents is this year theme. The numbers of venue have been increasing each year; at the same time, it has been raising the public interest in the contest.
